The first session is usually a fact finding mission so we can find out about each other and you will have the opportunity to discuss your issues at length, also how best to approach your difficulties, and the best treatment plan for your individual needs, to meet your aims and goals.
By the end of the session you will be able to decide whether hypnotherapy or CBT is the right step for you. Everything discussed in the session will be treated with the utmost respect and confidence.
The amount of sessions will depend on the nature of the problem, your personal aims and goals and also how you respond to treatment. It is normally expected that between one and twelve session is sufficient.
Suggestion Therapy
This form of therapy is ideal for helping you to cope with things like exam nerves, driving test nerves, interview nerves, smoking, nail biting, stress and some areas of weight control, and much more. During the sessions positive suggestions are given to you to help and assist you to overcome your problem. Normally between one and six sessions may be needed.
Analytical Therapy
This is different from suggestion therapy, analytical therapy is used for more deep rooted problems. This therapy aims to remove and deal with the underlying problem, and to also remove the cause of the problem. Analytical therapy is useful for emotional problems, like sleeping difficulties, anxiety, depression, irrational fears, phobias, unhappiness and any other problems or issues where psychological factors are involved. This type of therapy is usually between six and twelve sessions however, this is dependant on the problem, it will usually produce a complete and lasting relief from the problem and symptoms.
All therapy is on a one to one basis and is totally private and confidential. All problems are treated with the utmost respect and sensitivity.
Whilst not a cure for all ills hypnotherapy and CBT can be an effective method for many problems where psychological factors are involved.
